Biography
Katy Hanna is a musical theatre performer whose West End credits include The Phantom of the Opera, as 1st Understudy Carlotta/Ensemble and Swing; Wicked, as 1st Understudy Madame Morrible; and Les Miserables, as Understudy Madame Thenardier, Factory Girl, Dance Captain, Children’s Director and Swing.
Her further theatre work includes Love Beyond, as Original Cast Ensemble and Soloist/Understudy Mary Magdelene, and Sweeney Todd, as Understudy Johanna/Ensemble. She also performed in the Ensemble of The Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary Concert and in the Choir of Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert.
Katy was also a member of the National Youth Theatre, The National Youth Choir of Great Britain and Laudibus -The National Youth Chamber Choir.
Her television and recording work includes Eve on the Love Beyond Concept Album, Laudibus – Song of Songs (Delphian Records), The Susan Boyle Story (ITV), and the DVD recordings of Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert and The Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary Concert.
Teaching : Katy has been teaching singing for 20 years at top drama schools around the country including Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, and maintains a private studio near London.
